We're off again. This time we're headed to Alaska for 2 weeks. Here's our plan:
First we fly into Vancouver. We'll spend a couple of days exploring the city. Two days is not a lot of time for such a lovely place, but at least we'll see a little bit of it.
Then we board the Coral Princess for a seven day cruise north through the inside passage. We have port stops in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. Then we have two days of scenic cruising in Glacier Bay and College Fjord, before docking in Whittier, Alaska.
Once we arrive in Whittier, we'll pick up a car and drive to Homer for a few days. After that we head to Seward, where we'll take an all day boat cruise of Kenai Fjord National Park. Finally we have 1 night in Girdwood before we have to fly home.
It's really not enough time. I left out Denali National Park entirely because I didn't feel like we had time to do it justice, given all the car/train/bus time involved in getting there and getting into the park. We will just have to go back to Alaska sometime to do some touring of the interior.
