Nitobe garden

After the museum, we had lunch at a campus pub. Then, even though it was raining, we decided to walk over to the Nitobe Memorial garden. It's considered one of the finest, traditional Japanese gardens in North America. I'm so glad we didn't decide to skip it. Even in the rain it is beautiful. And perhaps even better, because there was no one there, and so it was peaceful and contemplative, as it should be.
